DAILY ITINERARY


DAY 01

Pre-night in Miami

Your exciting adventure to Cuba begins in Miami the night before departing on your morning flight to Cuba. This evening will include a Social Meet & Greet at your hotel, hosted by your ATI Tour Leader, where you will meet your fellow travelers, enjoy light fare of food and beverages, and receive an informational explanation for your travels to Cuba.

DAY 02

Arrival in Santa Clara

Arrival in Santa Clara. Transfer by Coach with Local English-Speaking guide who will meet the group upon arrival at airport. Local guide will remain with the group until completion of travels. Your Cuba experience begins in the charming town of Santa Clara, the site of the last and most decisive battle of the Cuban Revolution in 1958. Group to check-in to their hotel stay in Cayo Santa Maria, an island cay nine miles long and one mile wide. Welcome dinner reception in the evening at the hotel. Local guide will remain with the group until completion of travels.

Known for its turquoise blue waters, mangroves, and indigenous wildlife, Cayo Santa Maria is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve located on the Jardines del Rey archipelago (Garden of the Kings). Here we will celebrate your first day in Cuba with a welcome dinner at the hotel.

DAY 03

Cayo Santa Maria

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, you will depart for Caibaríen, a small coastal town known as the Villa Blanca, or white village, for its sugary sands and beaches. Enjoy La Casa de Las Traditions, colonial style homes. Return to the hotel for lunch. Afterwards, enjoy an afternoon of exploring the beautiful resort & local culture. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 04

Cayo Santa Maria – Day Trip to Remedios

Breakfast at the hotel. Embark on a nice drive to the fishing town of Remedios, where famous street celebrations called Las Parrandas have occurred every December since the 18th century. You will enjoy a delightful tour of Remedios, and learn more about the town and its festive traditions. While in Remedios, visit the sugar cane museum and learn about Cuba’s well known production. Become a part of the community at Color de Miel, a community art project focused on teaching kids. Lunch at a local restaurant. Take a trip to the Main Square as well as one of the most beautiful churches in Remedios. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 05

Cayo Santa Maria

Breakfast at the hotel. Shopping and exploration at the supermarket in town to see how and what Cubans shop. Return to the hotel for lunch. Continue on to enjoy a beautiful afternoon with the local culture surrounding the resort. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 06

Cayo Santa Maria – Trinidad

Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure to Trinidad. The handsome Colonial-era town of Trinidad is a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO for historic buildings that reflect Neoclassical, Moorish and Spanish Baroque influences. Founded in the 16th century, these architectural landmarks include the historic Palacio Brunet and the Palacio Cantero, built with wealth from the region’s lucrative sugar trade. Upon arrival, take in the sights on a walking tour. Visit the beautiful church followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Continue on to a city museum and shop at a craft market. Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 07

Trinidad – Santa Clara – Miami

This morning, after breakfast, you will depart to Santa Clara International Airport, where you will say your goodbyes to your Cuban Tour Guide and Driver, and begin your journey back to Miami.
